Creating your own loom is not only simple, but is also a great way to use up cardboard! You can use any piece of cardboard you have laying around, for this tutorial a square or rectangle piece is recommended. However, you are the artist, see what happens when you change the shape of the loom!

Cut a slit where you drew a mark.
On the back of the piece of cardboard tape down the end of your warp thread.
Pull your warp thread through the first slit and over the top. Pull all the way across the loom, and pull through the slot. The warp thread should be in a straight line. Thread the warp all the way around the back and come back up on the top.
When you have wrapped your entire loom, cut your warp thread and tape the end on the back. Here is what the back should look like.
