For my week three assignment in my studio ceramics course, I was challenged to create a lesson that had slab and/or coil construction and used colored slips. I am excited to bring my knowledge of colored slips to the classroom, it is a new technique for me and I think the kids will really enjoy getting to carve down into the different layers of their clay project.
I developed these adorable clay mushroom houses using coils and slab construction, and utilized colored slips for the top.
Follow along with me as I create! These are easy to make at home, and just need air-dry clay, no kiln!
