Preschool Art & Storytime: Things That Go

This week we took a look at things that go!  Here are the books we read:

These were great, and who doesn’t love yelling no to the pigeon?  We also sang and danced to “Wheels on the Bus” and “Hurry, hurry, drive the fire truck”.

There were two big “hits” this week with using wheels to make art!  I set up a ramp made of cardboard, along with some Duplo car wheels and tempra paint.  The kids ran the cars through the paint and down the ramp, making a collaborative work of art.  They loved doing this!  I also had paper available for them to make their own art to take home.

I then taped a large piece of paper on the floor and attached markers to the back of matchbox cars, this way they drew when you pushed them around.

I also cut out some trains with my Cricut and the kids used post-it notes to create train cars:

And finally, more dot sheets, with tweezers and pom-poms to match with each dot.
