4K Process Art: Watercolor Painting with Cotton Swabs

In my 4K Process Art class, the focus is on exploration and experimentation with various art materials without a pre-determined outcome.

I set-up each student with this art invitation, 10 small squares of paper, 5 different colors or liquid water color (one a shiny gold) and cotton swabs:

The students went right to work, creating their designs and playing with the supplies.  I then introduced a pipette which allowed the kids to squirt the watercolor onto their paper.  When they were finished, each student used tape to tape their mini paintings onto a larger piece of paper.  It was a fun time of exploration for everyone!
